A Flowing Gallery in Collaboration with

The Brewster Flats with their ever-changing landscape and poetic personification became the muse of local Brewster photographer, Steven Koppel. After vacationing for years at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club, his family fell in love with the area and bought a home down the road. Now with the flats in his backyard, Koppel is able to experience and capture the Flats in their astounding beauty throughout the entire year. You are able to do so as well since we are a year-round resort, however we have collaborated to bring them to you with Expressions of the Flats. See these images up close at our gallery outside Bayzo's Pub and the Mansion Ballroom. Bring your headphones to follow along the guided tour with Steven as he explains the emotion behind each piece and the importance of the Flats. Then go walk the flats, experience them first-hand, and capture your own moments in time. Purchase prints of these images and more - cropped to your liking for your space - at Steven Koppel's gallery, Expressions Gallery, at 578 Main Street in Chatham. Be sure to tell Steven we sent you!

iPhone Photography Classes

We are pleased to offer a unique experience with our partnership with Brewster local photographer, Steven Koppel, and owner of Expressions Gallery in Chatham. Steven uses a camera technique that allows him to create impressionist depictions of the landscape and seascape and evoke emotion. Steven developed an iphone app so you can easily create these yourself - not only on The Brewster Flats!

To book a private iphone photography class for your group, please email marketing@oceanedge.com.

Cost: $35 per person

Capacity: Minimum of 10 people

Camera Photography Classes

Steven also teaches photography lessons for those looking to improve their camera skills. To inquire about these, please contact Steven directly. Expressions Gallery

Low Tide Mini Golf

Seasonal

The sand trap you don't want to avoid.

The firm sand of the sandbars on the flats at low tide allow us to bring a little of our golf course to the beach. Mini golf and Cape Cod go together like sunsets and horizons, so we brought our own mini golf experience to the flats. The best part is that each tide brings a blank slate for you to design your own mini golf hole. Make friends and play each other's course.

Offered at select times during low tide. If you would like to set up a mini golf event for your group, please email activities@oceanedge.com.

Beach Yoga

Seasonal

Sink your toes into our amazing stretch of beach for the ultimate sun salutation. Take in the fragrant salty sea air while doing a calming “ocean breath” and challenge your body with poses to build strength, flexibility, and focus. Perfect for athletes looking to boost mobility, beginners eager to start their yoga journey and advanced practitioners alike. All levels, ages 12 and up.

Time: Friday through Monday, 8:15AM-9:15AM (May through Labor Day)

Location: Bay Pines Beach

Plein Air Painting Classes

Plein air painting is when the artist (you) escapes the studio or your four-walled space to sit in the scene and landscape you are painting or drawing. We have several local painters ready to teach you their technique as you depict the flats. We like to say that with each change of the tide, the sky and flats become a new canvas. Here, that is even more true.

At this time, these classes are booked for groups of people. If you would like to book a painting class for you and your friends, family, or group, please contact activities@oceanedge.com.
